Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not fighting over a prenup, despite a report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story, which comes from one of the tabloids.

The claims can be found in the new issue of Life & Style, which features the headline, “Inside Gwen And Blake’s Tense Prenup Talks.” The accompanying story begins, “They’re madly in love. But before they make things official, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are dealing with a thorny issue: money.” According to a so-called “source,” attorneys for the stars “have been busy hammering out a prenup.”

“The whole process is causing lots of stress,” claims the outlet’s supposed snitch. “Blake is more laid-back about it. He would give Gwen whatever she wants and would happily get married without a prenup.” But Stefani, says the magazine, is “taking the document very seriously.”

Naturally, that’s said to be because of the No Doubt front woman’s “nasty divorce” from Gavin Rossdale. “It makes her sick whenever she thinks about it. She just can’t afford not to have a prenup,” claims the alleged tipster. And so, the purported insider contends that Stefani is being “hardcore,” noting, “Gwen has worked too hard to get where she is to not have one.”

Of course, all this is coming from the same publication that just last week said Stefani and Shelton were adopting a baby girl. Gossip Cop would say it’s odd that that isn’t mentioned anywhere in this new story, but we know it’s because Life & Style made the adoption up. And these new allegations are made up, too.

In fact, Stefani’s rep flat-out called the prenup article “dumb’ when we asked about it. And by the way, the story says “Gwen and Blake plan to officially announce their engagement by year’s end.” Guess the tabloid already forgot saying earlier this month that they’re having a “blowout Christmas wedding.” Whoops.
