HollywoodLife claims to “exclusively” know Gwen Stefani will take Blake Shelton’s last name if the two get married, but the untrustworthy webloid doesn’t actually have any insight into the couple’s relationship. Gossip Cop can expose this made-up story.

The repeatedly discredited site, which routinely publishes bogus reports about the music superstars, now purports to have “exclusive details” about how Stefani “could one day be Gwen Shelton.” The outlet quotes a phony source as saying, “Gwen is convinced that Blake is the one she will be with for the rest of her life. She has no question that those feelings will ever change.”

The webloid’s dubious insider adds, “She is committed to him in such a way and respects his old fashion values that if and when they get married, she would gladly become Gwen Shelton in a heartbeat. That is how much in love she is with him.” The alleged source concludes, “There would be no need or want for a hyphen.” Gossip Cop, however, has repeatedly been assured that no one in the couple’s trusted inner circle is in contact with HollywoodLies, and the outlet still doesn’t have any Stefani or Shelton insiders. But we do, and a rep for Stefani assures us the site’s story is completely “untrue.”

In fact, the webloid constantly comes up with contradictory narratives about the couple because it can’t seem to keep its stories straight. Gossip Cop called out the site earlier this week for claiming Stefani and Shelton might never get married, and now we’re to believe they’re tying the knot and she’s taking his surname? And earlier this year, HollywoodLife published a series of bogus articles alleging Shelton and Stefani had split, which obviously isn’t the case. The outlet’s latest so-called “exclusive” about the couple is simply more lies.
