HollywoodLife is purporting to know the “exclusive” reason why Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may “never get married,” but the report is entirely fabricated. Gossip Cop can expose this fake news.
“Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton: Why They Could Stay Together Forever, But Never Get Married,” reads a new headline on the repeatedly discredited site. The accompanying article claims to have the “surprising reason” why the country star might never propose to his girlfriend of nearly two years. A supposed “source” tells the webloid, “Blake and Gwen love each other and they have so much in common with each other,” but getting legally wed is “not really too important to them.”
The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “Gwen and Blake think that they already have it made and they don’t feel like a piece of paper will enhance that in any way.” In a seeming attempt to cover its tracks in case the couple does eventually get engaged, the site goes on to quote its “source” as saying, “This is not to say that they will never get married. But, it’s just the thought process they usually find themselves in when it’s brought up.”
Of course, HollywoodLies, as it’s often called, routinely pretends to have “exclusive” insight into the personal lives of celebrity couples, so we were hesitant to believe this latest article. Our doubts were confirmed after consulting with a source close to the situation, who assures us that no one in either Shelton or Stefani’s inner circle is spilling details of their love life to the unreliable outlet. It’s entirely possible that the music superstars could stay together forever without tying the knot, but if that happens, it will be nothing more than a lucky guess on the webloid’s part.
Remember, this is all coming from the same amnesiac site that just five days ago wrote a piece claiming, Shelton “would feel lucky” to marry Stefani. It’s also the same make-it-up-as-they-go-along outlet that maintained three months ago that Stefani wanted Shelton to propose so she could begin wedding arrangements. In that fabricated article, a seemingly fictitious “source” said Stefani was hoping her boyfriend would pop the question “soon” because “one of her main goals is to prepare a wedding.” “She just needs Blake to pull the trigger and ask for her hand in marriage,” added HollywoodLies’ almost assuredly concocted “source.”
Piled on to its heap of garbage stories was an article last year in which the site squealed it was “majorly freaking out” because Stefani was engaged to Shelton. The outlet erroneously contended Stefani was wearing a ring that was a “pretty telling sign that she’s newly engaged.” And on the other side of the spectrum was a tale just four months ago in which HollywoodLife reported Stefani and Shelton had split up. In that disastrous article, the repeatedly debunked webloid asserted the couple was “over” and “done” because they’re so “different.”
Basically, HollywoodLies doesn’t really have inside scoop about Shelton and Stefani. They’re simply making up one fake news story after another, often resulting in contradictory narratives. The one consistent is that no one legitimately tied to Shelton or Stefani is sharing any information about the two singers with the untrustworthy outlet.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
