Gwen Stefani has not lost her hearing as a result of rupturing her eardrum last month, despite a sensationalized and inaccurate new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this fake news.

As Gossip Cop reported, Stefani canceled a performance in Las Vegas last month for the annual “Power of Love” gala after her eardrum ruptured during a flight. Fortunately, the singer made a quick recovery and was able to perform on “The Voice” just one week after the incident.

But RadarOnline has now published a phony article blaring the outrageous headline, “Tragic Gwen Stefani Loses Hearing After Rupturing Eardrum.” The accompanying article is a bait-and-switch that simply theorizes the singer “could end up deaf” for performing so soon after her injury. The webloid then quotes a doctor who hasn’t treated the singer as saying, “Loud music or singing could cause further damage and lead to partial or permanent deafness.”

Despite the outlet’s report being entirely misleading and speculative, Gossip Cop still checked in with a rep for Stefani, who exclusively assures us she absolutely isn’t losing her hearing. We’re told the singer is doing well in the wake of the mishap and the site’s conjecture otherwise is completely baseless.

Unfortunately, this is hardly the first time we’ve had to call out RadarOnline for publishing fake news about the singer. Gossip Cop recently busted the site for wrongly reporting that Stefani and Blake Shelton were being pressured to get engaged live on “The Voice.” We also debunked the webloid’s bogus story about Stefani threatening to quit “The Voice.” This latest article about the singer is equally fabricated.
