Gwen Stefani is not threatening to leave “The Voice,” despite a report claiming she may quit the show. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story. We’re told there’s no truth to the allegations.

As Gossip Cop has reported, season 12 of “The Voice” is currently airing, with the Live Playoffs set to take place this Monday and Tuesday. Now according to RadarOnline, this cycle “might very well be the last” for not just Stefani, but also her boyfriend, Blake Shelton. The site alleges Miley Cyrus, who was a coach on season 11 and is returning for season 13, “created a lot of friction with Shelton and his lady love.” Consequently, their future with the NBC competition is supposedly in doubt.

A so-called “on-set source” claims to the webloid, “Since Miley is set on coming back to the show next season, Gwen definitely does not want to be on the panel alongside her. And, of course, since Gwen does not want to return, now Blake is considering throwing in the towel as well!” The outlet goes on to speculate that if Shelton follows Stefani out the door, Adam Levine will call it quits, too. The publication’s alleged tipster contends, “Producers feel like it might be a domino effect.”

But Gossip Cop has heard a suspiciously similar version of this story before. Nearly a year ago, RadarOnline claimed Stefani was threatening to quit “The Voice” over both Christina Aguilera’s return and the hiring of Cyrus and Alicia Keys. It was total bunk, as we rightly said at the time, and far from quitting, Stefani signed a new contract and came on board for season 12.

Gossip Cop also previously busted the site’s untrue claims last fall about Cyrus feuding with Shelton. And there’s yet another hole we can poke in this latest article. The contention that Shelton will walk if Stefani leaves doesn’t make much sense considering he already did seasons 8, 10, and 11 without her and didn’t have any problem with that.

Pretty much the only thing that’s true is that the full panel for season 13 is, in fact, still up in the air. But it will be locked down in the relatively near future so filming can begin this summer. Regardless, Stefani is not threatening to leave the show, and it remains possible she will return for additional seasons. A rep for the singer exclusively assures Gossip Cop the quitting claims are “untrue.” Once again, the outlet’s reporting is woefully out of tune.
