Gwen Stefani is NOT "having a girl," despite yet another tabloid pregnancy cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the latest report, which falsely claims she and Blake Shelton are expecting.
The new cover of OK! declares, "Gwen & Blake Having A Girl! ...But Still No Plans To Marry." The front of the issue further teases the couple is "announcing it on 'The Voice.'" Of course, the magazine doesn't have any real, official confirmation. Rather, it says inside the edition, "Sources believe Blake Shelton and mother of three (boys!) Gwen Stefani are having a little girl."
These "sources" have rarely been trustworthy before, but Gossip Cop will get to that. In the article, the publication first brings up its false claims about Stefani calling off a wedding to Shelton, even though there was no wedding plans in the first place. It's then said, "The pair's inner circle is buzzing that they have something way more exciting on the horizon than a wedding: Gwen is pregnant with a baby girl!"
"Everyone's in a state of total disbelief," a so-called "source" is quoted as saying. When Stefani supposedly found out she was carrying a girl, the publication's snitch asserts, "No doubt there were lots of tears and high-fives around the room and just a feeling of sheer joy." And what about that teased pregnancy announcement on "The Voice"?
In a photo caption, the outlet merely writes, "Gwen and Blake are more than happy to flaunt their love on 'The Voice.' A source says they'd even consider revealing baby news on the show!" Right. But Gossip Cop can't help but wonder if this is the same "source" that said Stefani was pregnant and "having a baby" in 2015.
Or maybe it's the "sources" who said Stefani was "pregnant with two girls" last July. Based on those reports, and a number of others from the magazine, she and Shelton should have quite a few kids by now. But those stories were fabricated, either by the tabloid itself or its "sources," each and every time.
The new instance now is no different. In fact, a rep for Stefani exclusively tells Gossip Cop that this cover story about Stefani "having a girl" is "B.S.," plain and simple. It doesn't get any clearer than that.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
