Gwen Stefani would not take Gavin Rossdale "back in a minute," despite a new report that's based on an already debunked claim. As Gossip Cop has repeatedly noted, the No Doubt singer is very much in love with Blake Shelton. Regardless, we're assured the story involving her ex-husband is "untrue."
According to a National Enquirer article, Stefani is "harboring a shocking secret," which so-called "pals" insist is that she "still loves her cheating ex." An alleged "source" tells the supermarket tabloid that "she can't stand Gavin," and thinks he's "selfish" and "isn't pulling his weight" when it comes to being a father to their three sons, and yet feels he's still the "love of her life." The anonymous and possibly nonexistent "insider" continues, "Her feelings for [Rossdale] are stronger than any she'll ever feel for Blake," adding how she would take him back "in a minute," if circumstances were different.
If the claims sound a tad familiar, it's because the magazine's sister site, RadarOnline, posted a similar story just a few days ago that maintained Stefani was "still in love" with Rossdale. In the article, Shelton was referenced as simply a "rebound romance." The two met in 2014 and Shelton, and Stefani began their romance in 2015. After three years together, that's not a "rebound romance."
What's more, while appearing on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" in April, Stefani admitted she thinks about marrying Shelton "all the time." She also made clear that she and her kids "love him." Those are hardly the words of someone who's "still in love" with or would take back "in a minute" her ex-husband.
Not surprisingly, the gossip magazine doesn't mention who Stefani's "pals" are who made these hard to fathom claims. Instead, the publication hides behind what it only identifies as an "insider." Conversely, Stefani's rep, who's authorized to speak for the singer, exclusively tells Gossip Cop the tabloid's entire premise is 100 percent "untrue." Additionally, just a few days ago, Stefani posted a video on Instagram of her and Shelton in a trailer, as he serenaded her with his song, "Turnin' Me On," and she captioned the loving moment, "I'm so grateful."
To say the Enquirer has been way off the mark with Stefani would be an understatement. More than a year ago, the tabloid swore up and down that Stefani was pregnant with Shelton's baby. That's significant for two reasons. First, it would seem like a big leap for her to have a child with a guy who's just a "rebound romance." Second and more importantly, it underscores just how unreliable the magazine's Stefani sources are. Much like that article, the latest one, which claims Stefani would take Rossdale "back in a minute," is also provably false.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
