Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have not been spending the summer planning a huge wedding to be held at his Oklahoma ranch, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. We're told it's simply not true.

The cover of this week's Life & Style makes it appear as if the famous couple already got married, but the accompanying article says they're in the midst of organizing "a star-studded, no-expenses-spared wedding" at his ranch. From there, the magazine purports to know all the details about the supposed ceremony.

"Being the fashionista she is, Gwen is going all-out," says an alleged source. "She'll wear a long dress with an edge to it." The "insider" further contends that Stefani's three sons will be the ring bearers. As for the guest list, past and present "Voice" coaches such as Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson are said to be attending.

"Blake's preparing a feast of fried chicken, corn on the cob, BBQ ribs and sweet potatoes," adds the supposed tipster. "There'll also be some vegan options like lentil chili pot pie to keep Gwen happy." The magazine also throws in details about the "decadent" dessert menu and "open bar," which will include "whiskey shots at 5 a.m."

When it comes to the first dance, the magazine claims that Shelton "wrote a love song" personalized for just the two of them. "Late in the evening, there will be an amazing fireworks display," adds the seemingly nonexistent source. "She's over the moon that she's finally getting to walk down the aisle with the love of her life."

The magazine's story has more in common with fan fiction than journalism. Despite what the outlet's anonymous and untraceable "insider" says, Gossip Cop checked in with Stefani's rep, who tells us on the record that the report is simply "not true." The singer and her boyfriend aren't planning a major wedding at his Oklahoma ranch. It's worth noting, the tabloid claims to know all the details of the supposed ceremony, but doesn't even mention when it's scheduled to occur.

Less than a month ago, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for wrongly reporting that Stefani was going to be a "pregnant bride." The magazine said at the time that the couple hadn't yet decided on a location for their wedding, but insisted the singer was already expecting. This latest take on the subject says the pair have been planning an Oklahoma wedding all summer, but makes no mention of Stefani being pregnant. The tabloid clearly can't keep its phony narratives straight.

This past April, Shelton admitted that he thinks about marrying Stefani, but noted, "I don't think it's any time soon or anything." That discredits the idea that the couple started planning their nuptials once the summer began. Regardless, a spokesperson qualified to speak on Stefani's behalf assures Gossip Cop that no wedding is currently in the works.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
