Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not keeping their romance "private," nor are they leaving Hollywood. A website has collected claims from other outlets, but the allegations are largely untrue. Gossip Cop can bust this story.
Quoting from an E! Online article, The Inquistir is alleging Shelton and Stefani are "currently trying to take their 'very public relationship off the radar for a while.'" It's alleged the couple have been trying to "hide their sweetness toward each other," and, as an example, the blog asserts that "most fans did not know Blake sent Gwen a 'massive flower arrangement'" for Valentine's Day. Actually, plenty of fans knew about Shelton's gesture because Stefani documented it on social media.
In another example that doesn't hold up, the site maintains Shelton and Stefani have "also been silent about the never-ending split and pregnancy rumors, which could be an indication that they want these issues to be kept private as much as possible." In reality, Shelton mocked pregnancy rumors during a concert just last month, joking that Stefani had given birth to twins. And, given their continued appearances together and shout-outs on Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram, there is obviously no truth to claims that they've split.
Their actions speak volumes. Far from keeping their relationship private, Stefani just posted a photo of Shelton on Instagram on Thursday, writing in the caption, "@blakeshelton have a good show tonight we r missing u in L.A." She also shared pictures a few days ago of the country superstar kissing her, and she promoted his new music video via Twitter on Friday. Clearly, they're hardly "hiding" their relationship or going "off the radar."
As for the contention that Stefani and Shelton are leaving Los Angeles behind, the online publication alleges they're "planning to quit Hollywood to have a simpler life" and have "decided to move to the Midwest." These claims originally come from RadarOnline, which Gossip Cop busted more than a week ago for falsely asserting Shelton and Stefani are "quitting Hollywood." At the time, we were told that while she enjoys visiting his hometown in Oklahoma, there were no plans for a permanent move.
Notably, The Inquistir goes on to question whether "these speculations" about a move and the stars hiding their romance "could be true," and advises, "Avid followers of the couple should take these unverified claims lightly until everything is proven true and correct." Why, then, did the website regurgitate all the suspect information in the first place? The proper thing to do would've been to first investigate and fact-check the allegations to find out if they have merit before copying and pasting them. That's what Gossip Cop did, and it's why we can now tell readers unequivocally: Stefani and Shelton have not suddenly made their relationship "private," and they are not leaving Hollywood.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
