Gossip Cop has debunked countless tabloid stories about Miranda Lambert coming between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton‘s relationship. All of this drama has been fabricated. Here are five wrong rumors about the trio.
Last month, Gossip Cop called out HollywoodLife for making up a story about Lambert being jealous after seeing Stefani and Shelton together showing PDA at the People’s Choice Awards. The premise made very little sense. The music stars have been dating for more than three years and have appeared lovey dove at dozens of awards shows and red carpet events. Lambert, who’s long moved on from her ex-husband, didn’t become spontaneously jealous because Stefani and Shelton went to an awards show together. In fact, Lambert’s rep has told us in the past that the blog writes “complete fantasy” about her. This article was yet another example.
In August, Gossip Cop busted Celebrity Insider for falsely claiming that Lambert sent Shelton a congratulatory note for his so-called “secret wedding” to Stefani. Considering that the country star and his girlfriend didn’t get married, it was pretty clear the story was bogus. Simply put, Lambert didn’t congratulate her ex-husband on his nonexistent wedding. In fact, Shelton recently said he thinks about marrying Stefani, but doesn’t see it happening “any time soon.”
In March, Gossip Cop debunked an OK! story about Stefani and Lambert having a secret meeting to discuss Shelton. The magazine said that Stefani invited her boyfriend’s ex to her Los Angeles home for a “shocking sit-down.” The outlet further contended that the two set up the meeting to hash out their feelings, but it became heated when Lambert accused the singer of “cruelly throwing her relationship in her face.” The tabloid didn’t bother to mention exactly when the supposed confrontation occurred. And Lambert, who lives in Nashville, was on a concert tour around the same time the story was published. Regardless, a source close to Stefani assured us the supposed showdown never happened.
Gossip Cop also busted In Touch in March for claiming that Shelton and Lambert were “secretly texting” after he allegedly broke up with Stefani. Naturally, Shelton and Stefani are still very much together, so the premise was completely baseless. We corrected the bogus story as soon as it emerged, but the passage of time has also completely discredited the premise.
And finally, Gossip Cop called out In Touch last year for falsely claiming that Shelton was refusing to marry Stefani because he was still hurting from his divorce from Lambert. However, a rep for the country star told us on the record that the story was false. Whether or not Shelton weds Stefani has absolutely nothing to do with his past relationship. As noted above, the country star later went on to say that he does in fact think about marrying his girlfriend.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
