Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not having a baby girl, despite a false report. The tabloids have been claiming for quite some time that the couple is having a child together. Gossip Cop can confirm they're still not expecting.
According to OK!, the music superstars recently held a gender-reveal party at Stefani's house in Los Angeles, where they invited "60 of their closest friends and family" over to break the big news. The magazine doesn't mention exactly when this party took place, but a supposed source says, "Everyone was hugging and crying and congratulating them. Blake even made an emotional speech. He talked about how he cried tears of joy when he found out he was going to be a dad."
The alleged insider goes on to say that the couple was nervous about how their respective exes would react, so after the gender-reveal party, "they decided to call [Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert] and personally deliver the news." "In spite of their differences, Gavin said he was happy for them both. Miranda also expressed her excitement and wished them the best from her heart," adds the questionable tipster.
The tabloid's report, which is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable source, is complete fiction. Gossip Cop reached out to Stefani's rep, who tells us on the record that the story is "made-up." Since 2015, Gossip Cop has been nailing OK! for lying on its covers about Stefani being pregnant with Shelton's baby. And it's continued steadily since then. In January 2016, the same tabloid falsely maintained Stefani was pregnant with twins and having a "shotgun wedding" with Shelton.
By May of that year, the magazine forgot about her carrying twins and ran yet another cover story exclaiming Stefani had visible baby bump and was pregnant with a girl. Two months later, without mentioning its previous lies, the publication went back to the newsstand-selling premise of Stefani being pregnant with Shelton's twin girls. Come March 2017, however, the same untrustworthy tabloid went back to its one-child narrative and untruthfully declared that Stefani was expecting a girl with Shelton.
In July 2017, the magazine once again splashed on its cover that Shelton and Stefani were having twins. Skipping ahead to 2018, the often discredited outlet tried to sell on its first page how Stefani was pregnant with Shelton's baby girl. Mind you, Gossip Cop has only furnished a few examples from just the tabloid's covers over the years, and not regular articles within the magazine that have similarly reported how the singers were having a baby or two. These tales were inaccurate four calendar years ago in 2015, and they're still untrue to this day.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
