Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are NOT “having a baby,” despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can bust the report.

The new cover of Life & Style is designed to make readers think Stefani is pregnant. The magazine announces, “They’re Having A Baby!” The issue further touts, “It’s a girl!” And inside the edition, a headline declares, “The Wedding Is Off — But There’s A Baby On The Way!”

But although it’s said Shelton and Stefani “have happy family news to share,” it’s only upon reading the story that fans find out she isn’t actually pregnant. Rather, the misleading article is actually about the couple supposedly wanting to have kids together. Covering all possibilities, a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “They’ve talked about using a surrogate or adopting, but Gwen really wants to try to get pregnant via IVF first.”

Now they’ve allegedly “called off” wedding plans to “concentrate on having a baby.” “Gwen knows that, with her age, time is ticking and a baby should come first — they can marry whenever. Blake agrees,” claims the supposed source. It’s further asserted Stefani is “already undergoing IVF,” hoping for a girl, and considering “Lily” or “Dorothy” as baby names.

The alleged tipster even goes on to say that Stefani’s sons “won’t stop talking about how they are going to be big brothers. They keep begging Mom to have the baby already.” Oddly, though, the story also contends that the boys weren’t comfortable with Stefani and Shelton tying the knot, even though they’re apparently okay with the two having a baby together.

But while this sounds like a sweet tale, it comes from a tabloid with a dubious track record. In October, for instance, the publication said Stefani was a pregnant bride and marrying Shelton. Now two months later, she’s neither pregnant nor having a wedding, but both are on the agenda for the future?

Clearly, Life & Style is just engaging in creative writing exercises, because their contradictory stories have no resemblance to the truth. While this new cover story says that “priority no. 1” is now a “mini-Gwake,” Stefani and Shelton are actually focused on just maintaining their current dynamic. There is no baby immediately on the horizon.
