Gwen Stefani is not secretly adopting a baby girl, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim, which further alleges she's kept Blake Shelton "in the dark" about the adoption. We're told it's all "untrue."
According to In Touch, Stefani's "No. 1 priority is to have a baby girl." A so-called "insider" tells the tabloid the singer has "a little scrapbook that she puts all her dreams and goals in," and of late Stefani has been "putting photos of girlie baby furniture and little-girl clothes" in it. The repeatedly disproven publication contends she recently had a "secret call with an adoption agency," and is working on getting her "little girl before Christmas."
Assuming one still believes the tabloid, the magazine's questionable or possibly made-up "insider" then adds more doubt to the story's veracity by saying, "Gwen is telling friends that she wants to keep this really private." After noting how Stefani has been "daydreaming about names," and can't wait to "dress up and play dolls" with her daughter, the publication then states the singer has kept her three sons and Shelton "in the dark" about her plan. "She is going to have a private, romantic dinner with just the two of them, with candles and flowers, and she is going to present the entire adoption scenario to him."
The rest of the article is filled with how "Blake loves her," and that she "told friends she thinks he will be on board once he sees how excited she is." But the story is simply fabricated. The outlet claims Stefani wants to keep her adoption "really private," but is openly "telling friends" all about it, yet hasn't mentioned a word of it to her serious boyfriend Shelton?
Regardless of how absurd and implausible the story sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a rep for Stefani, who exclusively assures the report is 100 percent "untrue." Of course, we're not surprised in the slightest by the falsity of the latest claim. For a long time, Gossip Cop has been exposing In Touch for its incontrovertibly wrong stories about Stefani.
In December 2015, Gossip Cop nailed the tabloid for its untruthful cover story about Stefani being pregnant with Shelton's baby. A solid 15 months have passed since that lie. Then in January 2016, we again proved the publication wrong when it falsely alleged Stefani was having a baby girl with Shelton. By May of 2016, which was 10 months ago, the disreputable outlet published a cover that announced Stefani and Shelton were having twins. Interestingly, the magazine neglects to mention any of those articles or the slew of other untrue tales it has put forth about them being married or splitting up, for example. Much like the aforementioned reports, the current claim about Stefani secretly adopting a baby girl is also entirely false.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
