Lady Gaga Grammys 2018

The Grammy Awards featured performances from Lady Gaga, Pink, and a slew of other top artists. While some performed solo, others teamed up with equally impressive musicians. Watch the videos below of the top performances at the Grammys!

Lady Gaga did a beautiful, piano-driven rendition of “Joanne,” in honor of her late aunt, as the second performance of the night. She then said “Time’s up,” and launched into “Million Reasons.” This marks the fourth year in a row the singer has taken to the Grammys stage. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, last year Lady Gaga performed with Metallica at the 59th annual Grammy Awards. And in 2016, she did a tribute to the late David Bowie. Lady Gaga first performed at the Grammys in 2010, opening the show with “Poker Face,” “Speechless” and “Your Song.” Elton John even joined her.

A six-time Grammy winner, this year Lady Gaga was nominated for two honors tonight. She was vying for Best Pop Vocal Album (Joanne), for which she was competing against Coldplay, winner Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Ray and Imagine Dragons. She was also in the running for Best Pop Solo Performance (“Million Reasons”), which also went to Sheeran for “The Shape Of You.”

In 2009, she took home the award for Best Electronic Dance Album (The Fame), and in 2010, she collected the trophy for Best Dance Recording (“Poker Face”). Her most successful year at the Grammy Awards was 2011, at which time she scored three awards: Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Short Form Music Video. She also shares a statue with Tony Bennett for 2015’s Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album (Cheek To Cheek).

Pink wowed the crowd later in the show by belting “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken,” accompanied by a sign language interpreter. A veteran of the awards show, she previously graced the Grammys stage in 2014, where she opened her high-flying performance with some incredible aerial dancing while singing her smash-hit “Try.” She ended up onstage, joined by fun. frontman Nate Ruess for a rendition of “Just Give Me A Reason.” She also memorably performed “Glitter In The Air” in the air at the Grammy Awards in 2010.

Of course, Pink is also loved by the Recording Academy for her studio work. In 2002, she won the award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals (“Lady Marmalade”), an honor she shared with Christina Aguilera, Mya and Lil’ Kim. Two years later, she collected a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance (“Trouble”), and in 2011, she took home the trophy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for the second time (“Imagine”). Tonight she had the chance to walk away with the award for Best Pop Solo Performance (“What About Us”).

And while a good part of the evening is about handing out awards, the performances are also a major draw for fans. Highlights also included a tribute to the victims of the Las Vegas concert shooting and Kesha leading a powerful, all-female performance of “Praying.” Check out the videos from this year’s Grammys below.
