Gigi Hadid is not pulling out of the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show over accusations of racism, despite a manufactured report. Gossip Cop can correct this fabrication, which was posted by HollywoodLife. We’re told it’s “not true.”

It was announced last week that Hadid will walk in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which will take place for the first time in Shanghai, China. As Gossip Cop reported, after the location and Hadid’s participation in the show were unveiled, the model was slammed on social media by some users who insisted she shouldn’t be welcome in China after she seemingly mocked Asians by squinting her eyes in a video that was uploaded on Snapchat in February.

Not surprisingly for the second time in a week, HollywoodLies, as it’s known, has taken this bit of genuine news and turned it into fake news. According to the often discredited site, Hadid’s role in the upcoming fashion show is “up in the air” after she was criticized for the “racist” video that recently resurfaced online. A so-called Hadid “insider” is quoted as telling the outlet, “This whole thing has put a very ugly shadow on something that’s a dream come true.”

The untrustworthy site’s alleged “source” claims Hadid was “already nervous about doing the show and now she’s got to worry about more than just doing a good job,” adding that her anxiety level is “through the roof.” Additionally, maintains the blog, the model is “extremely anxious that someone could get into the show and pull some sort of stunt that could embarrass her.” Gossip Cop, however, is unsure why one of the world’s most successful models would pull out of the iconic fashion show over online backlash.

Irrespective of its penchant for posting falsehoods about Hadid, Gossip Cop still looked into the report, and a source close to the model tells us the story is simply “made-up” and “not true.” As is usually the case with many of HollywoodLies’ “exclusive” stories, no one close to the model is talking to the blog about Hadid and her inner thoughts.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time the site has taken a “hot topic” and manufactured a bogus “exclusive” around it. Gossip Cop busted the outlet on Saturday when it falsely reported that Zayn Malik wanted to defend Hadid from being called racist. That wasn’t true, and the same goes for this latest concocted article.
