George Clooney did NOT smash a wine bottle worth thousands of dollars being used to celebrate his twins, despite a manufactured report. Gossip Cop can bust this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”

“Clooney Gets Smashed Buying Big Bucks Wine To Toast Twinsies,” blares a headline in this week’s National Enquirer, which goes on to claim the actor accidentally broke an expensive wine bottle that he was planning to use to celebrate his wife’s pregnancy. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “The clerks were shocked when they saw George holding up his wine bag, now totally soaked and containing nothing but broken glass.” The magazine’s dubious insider further contends, “He’d been in such a hurry he accidentally dropped the bottle on the pavement outside.”

Let Gossip Cop set the record straight. A source close to the actor assures us the report is completely “false,” as Clooney did not smash a wine bottle worth thousands of dollars. Tellingly, the often disproven outlet doesn’t specify which wine store Clooney went to or when this allegedly occurred. That’s because the story is 100 percent made up.

This is not the first time Gossip Cop has busted the repeatedly discredited publication for its tall tales about the actor. In June, we busted the magazine for falsely alleging Clooney and Julia Roberts were caught cheating on their respective spouses. And shortly before that bogus report, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for wrongly claiming Clooney was caught with a mystery blonde. Much like those untrue stories, this latest one is equally fabricated.
