George Clooney’s wife Amal grabbed dinner with Cindy Crawford on Thursday night after having a “vicious fight,” alleges a new report. The claim, however, is 100 percent untrue. In fact, the story is nothing more than a certain media organization’s attempt to cover its tracks after Gossip Cop busted it for having published a number of inaccurate stories about George and Amal having marriage problems.

The latest false story comes from RadarOnline. It appears the often discredited blog bought photos of Crawford and Amal going out to dinner in Los Angeles and somehow had to reconcile the photos with its prior tales about the Clooneys being on the verge of divorce. The blog even writes, “George Clooney who?” after maintaining Amal had a “girls night” out following a “vicious” fight with the actor.

Without offering any evidence, the outlet asserts the Clooneys’ “breakup” is “getting nastier” by the day. The blog then asks its readers to not believe their own eyes, and pretend that a smiling Amal shared dinner with Crawford, during which she was “spilling her secrets” to the supermodel about her alleged “crumbling marriage.” From there, the habitually disproven site references a previously debunked story about the Clooney having a “vicious” fight that led Amal to flee to Sardinia with their kids, Ella and Alexander.

Just a couple of days ago, Gossip Cop debunked the site when it falsely claimed George and Amal Clooney were getting a divorce and fighting over custody of their twins. RadarOnline even insists the spouses are “looking at a $520 million divorce.” But it’s all a lie, predicated on a story from its sister publication, the National Enquirer, that asserted Amal moved out of he and George’s house and was seeking a divorce. As opposed to those outlets that hide behind anonymous and seemingly made-up sources, the actor’s rep went on the record with Gossip Cop to call all talk of the Clooneys divorcing “completely made up.”

Interestingly, the website practically acknowledges at the end of its article that it has no insight into the couple’s marriage by asking its its readers, “Do you think Amal and George Clooney are headed for a split?” Crowdsourcing and asking people who are not reporters what they think is not journalism. Fact-checking and getting on-the-record comments, like Gossip Cop does, is journalism.

In December, George and Amal were photographed holding hands and smiling while leaving a United Nations event in New York City. In addition to looking very happy together, George’s parents joined him and Amal on their date night. Between showing PDA with her husband and spending time with his family, it hardly seems like the human rights lawyer is ending her marriage. Regardless, the actor’s spokesperson confirms that this ongoing saga is complete fiction.
