George Clooney is not “embarrassed” by his wife Amal’s clothes, despite a made-up report by an embarrassingly bad outlet. Gossip Cop can correct this fabrication. It’s simply not true.

Celeb Dirty Laundry claims Clooney had a “hard time hiding his disdain for his wife and her strange outfit when the couple was spotted in the Big Apple this week.” The disreputable outlet further notes that “Amal wore a bizarre, 1970s-inspired outfit with embroidered bell-bottom jeans” when they were “spotted walking their dog while they were out and about in New York City.” “George was visibly embarrassed by his wife’s strange choice in style as he kept his head down during a phone call in front of the paparazzi,” adds the webloid, which based its entirely erroneous article on a photo.

The untrustworthy blog continues its misguided assault by calling Amal “fame-hungry,” and tries to back up its unfounded allegation by pointing out that prior to marrying one of the biggest movie stars in the world, “no one knew” who she was. Gossip Cop could let CDL further hang itself, but we’ll mercifully jump in here. Generally, few people know human-rights attorneys. Amal did not marry Clooney for fame. If anything, she eschews it.

But even more proof that the webloid knows absolutely nothing about the stars it blathers about, despite stating how the “couple was spotted in the Big Apple” and “were out and about in New York City,” George and Amal Clooney were actually in Los Angeles when that photo was taken. And far from showing his “disdain for his wife,” Clooney was elated that she was visiting him on the set of his movie Suburbicon. The only reason the actor put his head down was to avoid being photographed by invasive paparazzi. It has zero to do with Amal’s embroidered jeans, which the outlet failed to know were from the high-end fashion label Alice + Olivia.

Basically, CDL knows nothing about fashion, geography, and more importantly about celebrities, including Amal and George Clooney. Sadly, none of this surprises Gossip Cop. We have repeatedly busted the unreliable outlet. Nearly a year ago, the webloid wrongly claimed Amal was divorcing George. Gossip Cop also exposed the site for falsely reporting Amal was putting her law career on hold to be a fashion designer. It seems the only “disdain” here is that which CDL has for fact-checking.
