A tabloid claims Amal Clooney moved out of the home she shares with George Clooney in England and took their twins with her. The story is completely false. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk it.

According to the National Enquirer, the couple’s so-called “$520 million divorce battle” is getting nasty as the human rights lawyer has fled the couple’s English estate and took their two kids to a hideaway on the Italian island of Sardinia. “George is beside himself. Pals said he is pleading with Amal to come home,” an alleged insider tells the magazine. “He does not want the marriage to end. He loves Amal, and he loves their children. This is excruciating.”

As for the supposed issues between the spouses, the “source” claims Amal is fed up with her husband for not being more involved in their marriage and family. “Remorseful George is telling Amal he will do whatever his wife wants as long as she comes home,” adds the questionable tipster. “He will change his ways and stop driving her up a wall. George has reached out to her and begged, ‘Let’s get back together for the kids!'”

To bolster its phony premise, the magazine contends that the Clooneys haven’t been spotted together since last August. This is provably false. Just last month, George and Amal stepped out for a date night at the United Nations gala in New York City, where they were joined by the actor’s parents.

The idea that the human rights attorney thinks her husband is neglectful simply isn’t true either. Last summer, Amal gave a touching speech at George’s AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony, during which she called the actor an “amazing husband and father” and “the great love that I always hoped existed.” Amal added, “Seeing you with our children, Ella and Alexander, is the greatest joy in my life.”

Meanwhile, the magazine’s story is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable “insider,” but Gossip Cop reached out to George’s rep, who tells us on the record the “story is completely made up.” Of course, that’s not too surprising, considering the Enquirer falsely alleged earlier this month that Julia Roberts was leaving her husband for the actor.

The tabloid’s sister publication, the Globe, wrongly reported a few months ago that George was the one divorcing Amal, who was said to be pregnant with their third baby. The narrative has been reversed in this latest phony article, which makes no mention of a third child. There’s simply no truth to this ongoing saga about the happy spouses.
