George Clooney and Amal Clooney aren't renewing their vows, nor do they plan on getting Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston back together during the imaginary ceremony. That phony premise can be found in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop has learned it's entirely made-up.
According to Heat, however, the Clooneys plan to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary later this month by renewing their vows in a star-studded party at their Los Angeles home. "It always upset George that not all of their A-list friends managed to make it to their first wedding in Italy," an alleged source tells the outlet. "This will be a huge event."
The supposed insider continues, "He's inviting Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston. He's joked that, this time, his Hollywood friends have no excuse not to turn up. Most of them live down the street."
From there, the suspicious tipster says George is also using the vow renewal ceremony as a way to get Pitt and Aniston to rekindle their romance. "Everyone's waiting to see if Brad and Jen will be seated together, given all the rumors they might reconcile," adds the seemingly phony source. "It would be just like George to put them together - he's so thrilled that, at the very least, they're friends again. But he's all for any sparks flying at the ceremony."
The tabloid's article is a complete work of fiction. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who tells us George and Amal aren't planning to renew their vows for their fifth anniversary. The actor won't be trying to get Pitt and Aniston back together during a ceremony that isn't being held.
It should be noted, Heat has already proven to have zero insight into the Clooneys' marriage. Earlier this year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting George and Amal were adopting a baby girl. There were very few details to back up the story, and that's because there was no truth to it.
This also wouldn't be the first time we've had to debunk a story about George trying to get Pitt and Aniston back together. In fact, we've corrected so many variations of the topic that we previously dedicated an entire article to many of the wrong rumors about it. In the past year alone, there have been at least three stories about George bringing the ex-spouses to Italy in an effort to rekindle their relationship. The actor didn't make any attempts overseas and he won't be reuniting Pitt and Aniston at a vow renewal ceremony either.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
