Late Night Hosts Game Of Thrones

The late night hosts had plenty to say about the Season 7 premiere of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” during their monologues Monday night. See videos below of some of the best talk show jokes about the hit fantasy series.

“Did you watch the season premiere last night?” Jimmy Kimmel asked his audience. “A record number – more than 16 million people – did. I was one of them. I never thought I’d be excited to see someone empty a bedpan. But I was. I loved it. Even though I was confused.” He added, “I had to have my son Kevin explain a lot of it to me after the show for me, it’s like an adult version of summer school.”

The talk show show host noted he first asked his son, “Who was the guy who sailed in on the black ship and proposed to Cersei?” to which the boy responded, “That was Euron Greyjoy, Theon’s Uncle.” And when Kimmel asked, “Who was the prince that met with the enemy to try to bring down the Queen who was threatening his father?” his son answered, “That was Donald Trump Jr.” Kimmel also parodied the show by mashing it up with “The Bachelorette,” featuring one of Khaleesi’s fire-breathing dragons eliminating a contestant.

During his “Tonight Show” monologue, Jimmy Fallon offered, “Last night was the season premiere of ‘Game of Thrones.’ No spoilers, but I saw the HBO streaming site crashed during the episode. That’s how crazy this show has gotten, they’re killing off websites now.” And on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” the host noted, “A restaurant in New York announced it will be hosting weekly ‘Game of Thrones’ dinners. Or for the true experience, Arby’s has offered to straight-up kill you.” Watch the videos below!
