Game Of Thrones Cast GMA Interview

The cast of “Game of Thrones” appeared on Tuesday’s “Good Morning America” to discuss the highly-anticipated seventh season of the hit HBO fantasy series. Watch the video below!

Kit Harington was asked what’s next for his character Jon Snow after his death and resurrection last season. “You go straight back to square one,” the actor explained. “He’s still got to rule. He’s still got this annoying sister to deal with.” Meanwhile, last we saw Jamie Lannister, played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, he had returned home to Westeros after all three of his children had died. As for his stoic expression at the end of the season six finale, the actor said, “People can just read into it… I’m not going to tell you what he thinks. Because then I would give away what happens.”

Gwendoline Christie, who portrays Brienne of Tarth, went on to note the upcoming season “is so much about the story” and “each scene is really vital.” Harington echoed that sentiment, saying, “I think the major difference with this [season] is the pace at which it moves. It becomes a completely different TV show from the one you’ve expected.” The actor further teased that this season will feature the show’s biggest battle to date.

Of course, “Game of Thrones” has never been reluctant to kill off beloved characters, so when the cast was asked who was surprised their character was still alive, every single person raised their hand. And finally, each cast member was asked to guess which character will sit atop the iron throne when the series comes to an end. Watch the full “GMA” interview below!
