A tabloid report claiming Gal Gadot is annoyed by Kristen Wiig constantly making jokes on the set of Wonder Woman 2 is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus claim. Not only does a rep for Gadot deny it, but there's plenty of proof that the actress has a great sense of humor and enjoys having fun while filming.
"Gal Groaning Over Kristen's Jokes," reads a headline in the latest issue of Star. According to the magazine, Gadot is put off by Wiig's "quirky" antics on set, but she's too polite to confront her co-star about it. An alleged insider tells the outlet that the "Saturday Night Live" alum has been trying to impress Gadot by attempting to make her laugh, but it's not working.
"Most of the time, Chris [Pine] has to explain what Kristen is joking about," adds the supposed source. "Gal feels obliged to giggle, but there's only so much forcing it she can manage. She won't be able to keep this up the entire time they're filming." However, the idea that Gadot doesn't enjoy goofing off on set simply isn't true.
A Twitter video posted by Gadot in September shows that she had difficulty keeping a straight face while shooting the first movie. Along with a collection of outtakes from the film, the actress wrote, "Chris's nickname for me was giggle Gadot... I enjoyed filming every second of the movie." Gadot later shared another collection of bloopers on Twitter, and wrote, "Just a taste of the fun we had while filming..." That fun has continued on the set of the sequel, titled Wonder Woman 1984. The New York Post recently published photos from the production and revealed that Gadot "can't stop giggling" on set, to the point where a scene needed to be reshot.
Also, the star of the superhero film was already a fan of Wiig's prior to shooting. When it was announced in March that the comedic actress was joining the franchise, Gadot tweeted, "I'm SO excited welcome on board Kristen! This is going to be WONDERful!" It's clear that Gadot is laid back on set and enjoys joking with her co-stars, but Gossip Cop still checked in with the actress's spokesperson, who tells us on the record there's no truth to the tabloid's story. Star's article appears to be nothing more than a baseless attempt to create a feud between the co-stars of a highly-anticipated movie.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
