FKA Twigs did not tell Robert Pattinson to “stop calling” Kristen Stewart, despite a report. Gossip Cop can correct this unfounded story, and explain why it was obviously made up.

Life & Style blares in its new issue, “FKA Tells Rob: Stop Calling Kristen!” The article alleges Pattinson is “in the dog house” because he “reached out” to Stewart “for some career advice.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying that after “buzz” for his movie Good Time at the Cannes Film Festival, Pattinson “called to ask Kristen how he could keep that momentum going, since a lot of the films he’s starred in lately haven’t attracted much attention.”

Twigs is accused of going “ballistic” when she learned of the phone call, with the tabloid even claiming she “flipped out” because she’s “worried that Rob might want to get back together with K-Stew.” Asserts the supposed snitch, “She told Rob to break off contact with Kristen. FKA is so jealous, but hooking up with his ex is the last thing on Rob’s mind.”

If any of this sounds familiar, that’s because the gossip magazine’s sister outlet, In Touch, also features a story in its current edition about Pattinson asking Stewart for career advice, much to Twigs’ dismay. What’s noteworthy, aside from the claims being inaccurate, is that the wording of the two stories actually indicates the allegations were made up. For instance, in the In Touch version, an “insider” says, “She told Rob to cut all contact with Kristen.”

But in Life & Style, the “source” says, “She told Rob to break off contact with Kristen.” As another example, one piece states, “Hooking up with Kristen is the last thing on Rob’s mind. But FKA is so jealous,” while the other says, “FKA is so jealous, but hooking up with his ex is the last thing on Rob’s mind.” Are readers supposed to believe that the publications found a “source” and an “insider” who just happened to speak so similarly? Or are consumers supposed to believe the same person said the same things twice, but changed the wording ever so slightly?

Gossip Cop is not that gullible. The truth is that the tabloids conspired together to make up the contentions and purposefully penned faintly different articles to dupe people. As Gossip Cop noted days ago, the claims are completely untrue and they are no more legitimate simply because they were printed twice. Fans of all three stars deserve better than tabloid tricks like this.
