Fetty Wap was arrested Friday in New York City for drunk driving and drag racing, the NYPD confirms to Gossip Cop. Police pulled over the rapper after catching him speeding at more than 100 miles per hour on the Gowanus Expressway. We’re told he’s been hit with a total of 15 charges, including DWI, reckless endangerment, driving with a suspended license, having an illegal speed contest, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, four counts of a speed violation and more.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. near Hamilton Ave. in Red Hook, Brooklyn when cops spotted a 2012 Mercedes racing another car. After being pulled over, Fetty Wap handed the officers an expired New Jersey driver’s license. They suspected the rapper of being intoxicated and took him into custody after he failed a sobriety test, blowing a .09, just above the legal limit of .08. Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, is expected to be arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court later on Friday. Gossip Cop is told the rapper was cooperative with police as he was being arrested. TMZ was first to report the story.

As Gossip Cop reported, Fetty Wap got into a motorcycle accident in September 2015 in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. The rapper collided with another vehicle after attempting to pass the car in front of him. He was taken away by stretcher to a local hospital, but didn’t sustain any serious injuries. Alcohol did not play a factor in that incident.
