Fergie and Josh Duhamel are not back together, despite a tabloid story claiming the exes plan to renew their vows. Gossip Cop can correct the inaccurate report. We're told the estranged spouses haven't romantically reconciled.

The singer and actor announced in September 2017 that they had split after eight years of marriage, but according to OK!, they've decided to give their romance another shot. An alleged insider tells the outlet, "They've realized that they were always meant to be. They're actually planning a vow renewal as a way to symbolize a fresh start. They want to spend the rest of their lives together."

The supposed source goes on to say that the exes secretly got back together a few months ago when Duhamel "realized what he was missing and made a shocking confession to Fergie. He told her he wanted her back." From there, the tipster offers details about their so-called "vow-renewal ceremony," during which they'll "write their own vows to express just how committed they are to making things work."

The suspicious insider further contends that the exes' 5-year-old son Axl "will play a significant role" in the celebration and will also come along for their second "honeymoon" in Aspen. "They've been through difficult times, but have stuck it out," adds the questionable source. "Now they're one big happy family again."

The tabloid's storyline is completely made-up. It's likely the article was concocted based on a recent photo of Fergie and Duhamel hugging after a parent-teacher meeting at their son's school in Los Angeles. TMZ published the picture, but made a point of noting, "Just because they share an embrace it doesn't mean they're back together, but they clearly show a united front."

Regardless, Gossip Cop reached out to a Fergie confidante, who tells us the report is "completely wrong." Our impeccable insider further expressed, "I don't know where [the tabloids] get this stuff." We often wonder as well.

It's worth noting, OK! can't keep track of its phony narratives about the couple's split. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid in April for making up a story about Fergie and Duhamel's divorce "getting ugly." That article even alleged that the exes were headed for a custody battle over their young son. Meanwhile, this latest report says the singer and actor have been back together for months. Neither premise is true, but it shows how the magazine comes up with new angles on a whim.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
