Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are not headed for a divorce, despite a tabloid report claiming the spouses have been torn apart following years of "fights, secrets and lies." Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. The couple's marriage is still going strong.
According to OK!, however, a split is imminent for the spouses of almost 23 years. An alleged source tells the magazine, "No one would be surprised if they officially ended it in the near future, especially since they've been practically living separate lives for months. The buzz is that it's just a matter of who files the paperwork first."
The supposed source claims trust issues have been the biggest problem for the couple, adding, "Tim is very flirtatious, which makes Faith jealous and nervous about other women working with him." The questionable tipster goes on to say that the singer "flipped out" when her husband told her he was thinking about going on tour again. "Faith made it clear that she didn't like the idea of women throwing themselves at him at every show, and said that she could make their time apart permanent if he was so gung-ho about leaving home," adds the so-called "source."
Meanwhile, Hill is also "a flirt and has given Tim cause to worry," says the seemingly phony insider, adding that the spouses will likely battle over their fortune. "They're each worth around $80 million - $165 million combined - and are prepared to fight tooth and nail to keep what's theirs," says the suspicious tipster. "Neither one is going to back down. It looks like their relationship may be beyond repair."
It's worth noting, the magazine teases "fights, secrets and lies" on its cover, but the crux of the story is mostly about Hill and McGraw both being flirts. The cover story is both oversold and untrue. The couple's spokesperson says on the record that there's no truth to the tabloid's divorce claims. Despite what the magazine's anonymous and untraceable "source" says, a rep qualified to speak on Hill and McGraw's behalf confirms they're not having marriage problems.
Additionally, Hill posted a birthday tribute to McGraw on Instagram earlier this month. Along with a photo of the two, the singer wrote, "Happy Birthday my love." It's clear the couple isn't on the verge of a divorce. Unfortunately, OK! has been pushing this phony narrative for years.
Back in 2017, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Hill and McGraw's joint tour could lead to a divorce as all the time spent together on the road could "cause any lingering tensions to resurface." In 2016, we busted the magazine for wrongly alleging Hill and McGraw were "fighting for their marriage." These split stories have never panned out and this latest one is equally baseless.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
