Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are not headed for a divorce and gearing up for a battle over their combined $165 million fortune, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the split rumors. The spouses of 22 years are going strong.
According to the Globe, however, Hill has been meeting with divorce lawyers to figure out the best way of getting out of her marriage while keeping her money safe. “Faith was absolutely burned in her first divorce [from ex-husband Daniel Hill] and she has no intention of letting that happen again,” a supposed source tells the outlet. “There’s too much at stake this time. With things as bad as they are between Faith and Tim, she’s instructed her lawyers to make sure she walks away with more than her share.”
The alleged insider further contends that Hill and McGraw’s friends believe they’ll get divorced sometime this summer as “they’ve been living separate lives for months.” Trust issues and jealousy are said to be the main problem in the couple’s marriage, with the questionable tipster adding, “Their inner circle believes they’re just waiting for their daughters – Gracie, 22, Maggie, 20, and Audrey, 17, – to move out before they pull the plug. And this time Faith and her lawyers will be ready to walk away with a huge stack of cash.”
None of this is remotely true. Just last month, Hill shared an Instagram post honoring both McGraw and her late dad on Father’s Day. Along with a photo of her husband and her father chatting, the singer wrote, “This is one of my favorite pictures of Tim and my sweet daddy. Daddy may no longer be here on earth but he touched us all in the most profound way and we will always feel his presence. Daddy loved Tim and they shared many moments like this. Just the two of them.” Simply put, Hill found it important to pay tribute to both her husband and her late dad.
Additionally, this wouldn’t be the first time the Globe has attempted to break up the spouses of more than two decades. Last October, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Hill and McGraw were having marriage problems because she feared he might relapse on alcohol. The country has been clean for more than 10 years and his wife isn’t worried about his sobriety.
In May, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid’s sister publication, OK!, for wrongly reporting that Hill and McGraw were headed for a divorce following years of “fights, secrets and lies.” The happy spouses, who will celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary in a few months, aren’t having any sort of marriage crisis. This latest take on the subject is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
