Faith Hill’s friends don’t fear she’s secretly battling throat cancer because she had to cancel a concert recently, despite an absurd new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story.

The singer’s doctors placed her on a two-day vocal rest earlier this month, forcing her to pull out of a planned show in Arkansas. The National Enquirer is now dramatically declaring the situation could be deadly, quoting a supposed “source” as saying her husband Tim McGraw is “beside himself” with worry. “Both he and Faith are concerned that if her condition gets any worse, her golden voice will be silenced for good,” adds the outlet’s dubious insider.

The repeatedly discredited magazine goes on to say Hill’s pals “fear the worst” and quotes a doctor who hasn’t treated the singer as saying, “Throat cancer does affect the vocal cords early on in the disease.” Despite the magazine’s story being entirely unfounded, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Hill, who exclusively assures us the singer isn’t suffering any serious medical issues, and she certainly isn’t battling throat cancer. In fact, it’s quite common for singers to occasionally be put on vocal rest while they’re touring. This is simply a non-issue baselessly being blown out of proportion by an untrustworthy tabloid.

Unfortunately, the Enquirer has a history of publishing bogus stories about the singer’s marriage, so it’s not particularly surprising the outlet is now targeting her health. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid in July 2016 when it falsely alleged Hill and McGraw were headed for a breakup, and we corrected the publication in December for wrongly reporting Hill and McGraw were getting a divorce. Shortly after Gossip Cop shot down those phony split rumors, the happily married couple embarked on a world tour together. This latest article about the singer’s nonexistent cancer battle is similarly untrue.
