Evie Clair returned to “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday with more tears but also more powerful singing. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Clair cried her way through her “America’s Got Talent” audition, which aired last month. The 13-year-old explained that her dad is battling stage four colon cancer, and she “was here to sing for him.” She performed Christina Perri’s “Arms,” revealing that it’s the song she regularly sings to help her dad “feel better and just give him comfort and strength to continue fighting.” Clair’s moving performance earned her a standing ovation.

Now during the Judge Cuts phase, the second round of the competition in which the acts try out again in hopes of making it to the live shows, Clair was still emotional. She confessed to the camera that since she filmed her audition, the “tumors in my dad have grown and the chemotherapy hasn’t been working for the past year.” Despite that, she felt blessed to be at “AGT” together.

“It’s just so amazing. I can always just remember this moment with him, and I’m so grateful for that,” she said. Upon taking the stage, the tears returned as she told the judges, “A lot of things are happening right now and we don’t really know what’s gonna happen next.” Simon Cowell asked if she wanted to take some time, but the teen wanted to sing. She then performed a haunting rendition of Macy Gray’s “I Try.” As she sang, Mel B could be seen wiping away tears.

Howie Mandel was the first to speak, saying, “I’m a father, I have two girls and a son, and when I listen to you, it’s the sound of angel singing to her dad. I don’t think you can ask any more of a performer than to move your heart and I feel moved.” Mel, who lost her father earlier this year, then told Clair, “You just sing with such heart and soul. Just made me think of my dad.” She added, “It really, really moved me and it really touched me, so thank you for that.”

“You are amazing. You’re beautiful,” said guest judge DJ Khaled. “You touch everyone’s soul and spirit. Your family is going to be very proud of you.” Heidi Klum noted the performance wasn’t “perfect,” but said, “I still remember you and your voice at the end of the day because it is special.” Simon Cowell also pointed out some vocal flaws, though he said he understood why she was emotional throughout the performance.

He added, however, “What you gave us just then, though, you gave us heart and that means a lot.” Watch the videos below!
