Eva Longoria said on Wednesday’s “The View” Donald Trump’s immigration ban is “dangerous.” Watch the video below.

As Gossip Cop reported, “The View” co-hosts reacted to Trump’s plans to deport immigrants earlier in the show. When Longoria came out, Whoopi Goldberg noted the actress is very familiar with immigration issues, and asked her to weigh in. “I’ve studied it a lot. I’ve been on the border several times,” she said, calling it a “broken system.”

Longoria objected to Trump’s refugee ban, saying, “It’s very dangerous to deny asylum to a lot of these people… This isn’t an issue of Democrats and Republicans. It’s not an issue of Obama and Trump. For these people, it’s an issue of life and death.” And while she did credit the president for wanting to protect DACA and DAPA, she voiced concern about defunding sanctuary cities and marginalizing minorities.

“When you vilify an entire community — I’m Latino, so people assume Latinos is equal with illegal, and it’s not. I’m a ninth generation [Mexican-American],” the star pointed out. She went on to say, “You can’t just take away funds because you’re trying to prove a point of an election.”

Longoria was also asked about the ongoing lawsuit over IMDB listing actors’ ages. “There is ageism in Hollywood, but there’s ageism in society. You age out of everything, right? And it’s not fair,” said the “Desperate Housewives” star, who also noted, “There’s a lot of misinformation on my page.”

Of marrying Jose “Pepe” Baston last year, Longoria said, “We just wanted to be happy. That’s different things to different people.” She also discussed her upcoming projects, including appearing on “Empire” and directing “Black-ish.” Check out the full interview below.
