Eva Longoria did NOT lecture Leonardo DiCaprio about “playing the field,” despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “ridiculous.”

According to Life & Style, Longoria began digging into DiCaprio’s personal life while the two were backstage at Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show earlier this year. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Eva thinks Leo needs to get it together. She told him it’s time to build a real relationship rather than playing the field.”

The magazine’s seemingly phony insider further alleges Longoria asked the actor, “Why do you only date young models?” to which he supposedly replied, “Because I can!” Following DiCaprio’s alleged remark, the source claims Longoria “rolled her eyes, threw up her hands and gave up.”

However, Gossip Cop is exclusively told by a backstage source at the “Ellen Show” that the tabloid’s claim is “ridiculous.” We’re similarly assured by a source close to Longoria that this alleged chat with DiCaprio about his love life simply “never happened.” Of course, we’re not shocked by the publication’s wrong report. Gossip Cop previously busted Life & Style for concocting a similarly untrue tale that had DiCaprio supposedly hitting on Dakota Johnson at a “Saturday Night Live” after-party.
