Espy Awards Winners

The 2015 ESPY Awards are taking place live from the Microsoft Theater in L.A. on Wednesday, and Gossip Cop has a full list of the ESPYs winners. The annual event, which began in 1993, honors athletes in a number of sports as individuals, teams members, and for specific performances. They also honored for their achievements off the field.

The Golden State Warriors lead the pack with the most nominations. The NBA champs are up for six ESPYs for Best Team, Best Male Athlete (Stephen Curry), Best NBA Player (also Curry), Best Record-Breaking Performance (Klay Thompson scoring 37 in a quarter against the Sacramento Kings in January), Best Coach/Manager (Steve Kerr), and Best Play (Curry’s step back three-pointer).

For the men, Curry is tied with LeBron James for the most individual nominations. James will compete against Curry for both Best Male Athlete and Best NBA Player, and is also a nominee for Best Championship Performance.

Ronda Rousey leads the women with three nods. The MMA star is up for a Best Play ESPY Awards, as well as Best Fighter and Best Female Athlete.

In addition to the competitive awards, three special honors are handed at the ESPYs. As Gossip Cop reported, Caitlyn Jenner will be given the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, while Danielle Green is getting the Pat Tillman Award for Service, and Leah Still and her father Devon Still will receive the Jimmy V Perseverance Award.

Hosted by “The Soup” and “Community” star Joel McHale, the ESPY Awards begin at 8 p.m. EST. Who are you rooting for. Check out the full list of ESPYs winners, updated live, below.
