Adam Cunningham Voice Knockouts

Esera Tuaolo and Adam Cunningham competed in “The Voice” season 12 Knockouts on Monday, and one of them was stolen. Watch the videos below!

The Knockouts mark the third round of the NBC music competition, following the Blind Auditions and Battles. Much like the Battles phase, the Knockouts help the coaches narrow down their teams for the live shows. But while the Battles feature the artists singing duets, the Knockouts require them to give separate performances. Still, only one can survive and stay on the steam, with the other getting eliminated… or stolen.

As Gossip Cop reported, Cunningham’s Battle on “The Voice” aired just last week. He was paired with fellow Team Blake member Natalie Stovall for a joint performance of Little Big Town’s “Boondocks.” Coach Blake Shelton picked him as the winner of the face-off and Stovall was sent packing. Now Cunningham’s next showdown was against former NFL player Tuaolo. They each had time alone with Shelton and key advisor Kelly Clarkson to rehearse their respective performances.

Cunningham picked Chris Stapleton’s “Either Way,” while Tuaolo selected the Luther Vandross version of “Superstar.” Following their turns on the stage, Jennifer Hudson said Tuaolo “captured the moment” while Cunningham “captivated me,” calling it a tie. Miley Cyrus said Cunningham showed “courage” by playing the guitar, but thought Tuaolo had “shock value” with his high notes. And Adam Levine said Cunningham would’ve convinced his fan base, but Tuaolo would bring in everybody.

“I’m looking at two incredible people who both deserve to move on,” their coach Shelton said. But the superstar could choose only one to keep on Team Blake. He eventually decided that person would be Tuaolo, freeing Cunninham up for the steal. And Levine went for it! It was a victory all the way around. Check out the videos below!
