This year’s Emmy Awards nominations announcement is taking place at the Wolf Theatre in Los Angeles at 11:30 a.m. Eastern. Anna Chlumsky, star of HBO’s “Veep,” and Shemar Moore, of “Criminal Minds,” will unveil the nominees for the 69th annual Emmy Awards, which is slated to take place on September 17 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Stephen Colbert will host the ceremony, which will air live on CBS.

Nominees from different television shows will be unveiled today in more than 25 major categories, with honors for outstanding drama, comedy, acting, directing and writing, among others. To be eligible for a nomination for this year’s Emmys, a program had to air in primetime between June 1, 2016 and May 31, 2017. In addition to the major awards categories, there are also technical awards, which are given out at the Creative Arts Emmys. The technical categories honor outstanding artistic achievement in a variety of television shows, including exceptional work in reality, animation and documentary programs.

Among the series likely to be nominated this time around are “The Crown” and “This Is Us,” while “Game Of Thrones” will be noticeably absent due to not fulfilling the eligibility requirement.
