The 2017 Emmys, one of the biggest award shows of the year, takes place on Sunday, and Gossip Cop has a live stream. Watch the 69th annual Primetime Emmy Awards below!

The Emmys were first started by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 1949. In 1974, the Television Academy launched the Daytime Emmy Awards to celebrate programming that specifically airs during daytime hours. As such, the descriptor “primetime” was added into the title of the main event, which recognizes shows that are broadcast during primetime hours and late night. Winning an Emmy is considered to be on par with taking home a Grammy, Oscar or a Tony. When a star accomplishes the incredibly rare feat of winning all four over the course of his or her career, they are called an EGOT. Several stars, such as John Legend, just need an Emmy to reach the milestone.

Alas, Legend isn’t a nominee tonight, but some of the biggest names in Hollywood are. In fact, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, two Oscar winners typically associated with movies, are both nominated twice tonight, thanks to their limited series “Big Little Lies.” Both actresses are also among this evening’s presenters, which are slated to include a mix of nominees, past winners and notable CBS faces. For instance, Viola Davis, who won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2015 and is again a nominee tonight, is expected to present, as is Shemar Moore, star of the network’s new show, “S.W.A.T.”

Of course, the man of the night will be Stephen Colbert, who is getting his first turn as the host of a major awards show. While he’ll be emceeing the ceremony, producers have lined up Tony winner Christopher Jackson of Hamilton to perform during the In Memoriam. And in addition to the TV broadcast, the Television Academy is streaming “Backstage Live!” via Facebook Live for viewers to “see the Emmys action behind the scenes.” The red carpet pre-show will get underway at 5:30 p.m. Eastern, followed by the main show at 8 p.m. NOTE: The live stream is no longer available.
