Is Emily Blunt bossing around husband John Krasinski on the set of the movie they’re co-starring in together? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop looked into the situation and can exclusively set the record straight.
The real-life spouses are currently filming the supernatural thriller, A Quiet Place, which Krasinski also co-wrote and is directing. Despite the actor’s heavy involvement behind-the-scenes, an article in the latest issue of OK! says it’s his wife who’s calling the shots on set. A so-called “insider” tells the magazine, “She’s not just in front of the camera, she’s everywhere. She’s constantly in John’s ear telling him to try this or that, asking why a scene is being done a certain way.”
The outlet’s dubious source goes on to say Krasinski usually complies with his wife’s supposed demands because “he either really values her opinion or just doesn’t dare shoot her down.” The seemingly nonexistent insider adds, “Emily likes to have the last word.” Gossip Cop, however, is exclusively told by a source involved in the film’s production that the magazine’s story is “completely untrue.”
In fact, Krasinski recently shared an Instagram photo of him and Blunt sharing a laugh on the set of The Quiet Place. He joked in the caption, “Yup… terrible decision to work together.” The sarcastic actor is clearly having a great time collaborating with his wife for the first time.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time we’ve had to debunk a bogus OK! story about a famous couple having issues during the production of a movie. Gossip Cop recently busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Patrick Dempsey’s wife, Jillian Fink, forbid him from socializing with Berlin, I Love You co-stars Jared Leto and Orlando Bloom. The magazine clearly enjoys creating nonexistent marital drama in the workplace, but there’s no validity to any of it.
