Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are not having a baby, despite a manufactured report from RadarOnline. The site, which has repeatedly been busted in the past for publishing bogus stories about the couple, now claims having a child will save their “stormy” marriage.

A so-called “source” tells the outlet that, “for once,” the couple are “in sync,” but “Ellen wants to adopt and Portia wants a surrogate.” The webloid’s dubious insider goes on to contend that DeGeneres would “love a boy,” while Rossi is “hoping for a girl.” “The two gals are so excited,” and “they’re designing a nursery in their Beverly Hills home,” further purports the clearly made-up source, adding, “Ellen and Portia are closer than ever, and can’t wait to welcome a baby into their lives.”

Of course, Gossip Cop has called out the often disproven website on a number of occasions for publishing nonsensical reports about the couple. In March, we corrected the outlet for falsely alleging DeGeneres and Rossi were at “breaking point.” And shortly before that tall tale, we debunked the site for wrongly claiming DeGeneres and Rossi’s alleged divorce was on hold. With its poor track record, we were understandably doubtful about RadarOnline’s latest report.

Regardless, we checked in with a source close to the talk show host who tells us the entire article is “false.” As Gossip Cop has reported numerous times, DeGeneres and Rossi are not having a baby. And what’s more, the couple, who shared a loving and committed relationship, are not having a child purely to save their “troubled” marriage. It’s all made-up in the name of online traffic.
