Edward Snowden, the infamous whistleblower who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency, joined Twitter on Tuesday. And now stars are reacting to the U.S. fugitive wanting to be heard on social media. See celebrity reactions below!

The only Twitter account that Snowden is currently following is the official page of the NSA. Larry King pointed out the irony of the situation, tweeting, “Ed @Snowden joined Twitter & follows @NSAGov, the watchers watching him. Even Tom Clancy would’ve gotten dizzy w/this.” Alyssa Milano referenced Snowden revealing secret information about numerous global surveillance programs. The actress wrote, “Today @Snowden joined Twitter, and here’s the world’s response,” along with a GIF of the world under surveillance.

Comedian Patton Oswalt joked, “@Snowden Settle a bet for me: is your ring tone Rockwell’s ‘Somebody’s Watching Me’ or Hall & Oates’ ‘Private Eyes’?” Joseph Gordon Levitt, who portrays Snowden in a biopic slated to be released next year, simply wrote, “Welcome to Twitter.” Reggie Watts, the band leader of the “Late Late Show with James Corden,” also welcomed Snowden, writing, “Hi @Snowden wishing you well. I hope you get to come back home soon!!!”

Renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has been tweeting to Snowden throughout the day, with his first message reading, “Feeling a Geek vibe. Edward @Snowden, the man behind the global mass surveillance revelations. Welcome to @twitter.” Meanwhile, the official page for the USA series “Mr. Robot,” which revolves around an underground society of computer hackers, wrote, “@Snowden Hello, friend.”

For Snowden’s part, his first-ever tweet read, “Can you hear me now?”
