Sheeran is currently in the midst of supporting his most recent album, Divide, which came out in March. It not only hit number one on the Billboard 200, but also ranked first in a slew of other countries, like Australia, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Spain. Of course, the record also topped the chart in his native U.K. To date, only three official singles have been released: “Shape Of You” and “Castle On The Hill,” which came out simultaneously in January, and “Galway Girl, which was designated as the third single in March. “Perfect” is expected to be the fourth single, although Sheeran hasn’t officially announced it yet.

He’s currently playing all those songs and more on the “Divide Tour,” which kicked off in Italy back in March. After spending the spring in Europe and Latin America, Sheeran began the North American leg at the end of June, joined by James Blunt. In the last week, there was stops in San Antonio and Duluth, Georgia, and the tour will head to Tampa on Tuesday. There’s also shows slated this week in Miami, Orlando and Raleigh.

Interestingly, Sheeran went into tonight’s VMAs with only one prior win. In 2014, he picked up Best Male Video for “Sing.” This year, he scored three nods: Artist of the Year, Best Pop Video for “Shape Of You” and Best Cinematography for “Castle On The Hill.” Artist of the Year is a new category, replacing the two separate awards for Best Male Video and Best Female Video. Sheeran was nominated alongside his pal Lorde, as well as Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and Bruno Mars. Watch video of the singer’s VMA performance below!
