Dwayne Johnson Good Morning America Baywatch President

Dwayne Johnson appeared on Thursday’s “Good Morning America,” where he spoke about his new movie Baywatch, and potentially running for president. Watch the full “GMA” interview below!

The actor sat down for a one-on-one interview with Paula Faris on the morning show about his iconic role in the upcoming reboot of Baywatch. When asked if he was nervous about taking on such a well-known character, Johnson said, “It was exciting, but it’s very daunting. It’s so daunting, you’re like ‘hold on a second, I need another cup of Hoff-ee.'”

And as Gossip Cop reported, “The View” co-hosts blasted Dwayne Johnson on Wednesday for wanting to run for president. The actor said he wants to seriously consider running in 2020, but some of the panelists disapproved of his plans. “You have to have qualifications to run the country,” Sunny Hostin said, adding, “What is next? Are we going to have Martin Sheen from ‘The West Wing’ run for president?”

But on the topic of potentially running for president, Johnson told Faris, “I didn’t say I would be a good president.” He continued, “I have a certain skill set, and I think it’s in that skill set that people see, that people would want me to run. It’s reflective of them wanting to see a better leadership happen right now.” “And the slogan would be ‘Make America Rock Again,'” Faris joked. “It would be,” the actor said.
