Drake recently unveiled a tattoo of Lil Wayne's face on his left arm, prompting one outlet to absurdly speculate the ink is a "gay subliminal message." Gossip Cop, however, can debunk this bogus claim.

Drake displayed his new tat in an Instagram post Monday with a photo of himself rocking the ink at Houston Appreciation Weekend. Drake has good reason to pay tribute to Lil Wayne, as he was integral in launching the rapper's career after signing him to his Young Money Entertainment record label in 2009. The pair have since collaborated on more than 20 songs, including "Miss Me," "Pass the Dutch" and Nicki Minaj's recent single, "No Frauds." They most recently appeared together at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.

Drake clearly got Lil Wayne's portrait tattooed on his arm out of gratitude and respect for the fellow rapper, but the repeatedly discredited MediaTakeOut is baselessly suggesting the ink is "some type of gay subliminal message." The webloid doesn't elaborate on its theory, but the article's author presumably believes Drake is proclaiming romantic feelings for his mentor. Of course, this isn't the case.

In reality, Drake has a habit of paying tribute to his friends and family by tattooing their portraits on his body. The rapper has both of his parents' faces tattooed on his upper back, alongside images of his late uncle and grandmother. Drake also has the faces of singers Sade and Aaliyah inked on his body, as well as artwork influence by his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. These are just a few of the rapper's many sentimental tattoos.

Regardless of the site's story being completely preposterous and unfounded, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the situation, who dismissed the notion that Drake's tattoo signifies homosexual feelings for Lil Wayne. The ink is simply a tribute to his close friend and collaborator. We've also reached out to Drake's rep for a comment.

This isn't the first time MTO has spread false rumors about the rapper's sexuality. Gossip Cop called out the site last year for falsely claiming Drake is secretly gay and his relationship with Rihanna was fake. Following that fabrication, we busted the outlet for wrongly reporting Drake and The Weeknd were a gay couple. This latest article about the rapper is equally bogus. See Drake's new tattoo below.
