Dina Lohan did not demand to be cast on “The Real Housewives of New York City,” despite an inaccurate report. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.

“Dina Lohan Rejected By ‘Rhony’ Producers: Lindsay Lohan’s mom can’t catch a break!” reads a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article goes on to claim Dina – a New York City native – reached out to producers of the Bravo reality show insisting she be given a role on the show, but network executives rejected her proposal.

A supposed “insider” tells the site that producers acknowledged Dina would be “great fun” for the series, but decided they didn’t want to include an additional cast member and would rather focus the show around the women who already know each other. The webloid’s report, however, is entirely inaccurate. Gossip Cop spoke to Dina herself, who exclusively tells us, “I never spoke to any producers from that show!” She added, “Although I am a fan of it, ‘Orange County’ being a favorite.”

Dina has appeared on a number of reality shows, including “Millionaire Matchmaker” and her own 2008 E! series “Living Lohan,” which chronicled her managing the music and acting career of her younger daughter, Ali. However, she never pitched herself for a role on the “Real Housewives” franchise.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the frequently discredited website has targeted the TV personality with fake news. Gossip Cop previously called out RadarOnline for wrongly reporting Dina staged an “intervention” for her daughter Lindsay after a video emerged of the actress fighting with ex-fiance Egor Tarabasov. This latest article is equally bogus.
