Demi Moore has been sued by the parents of a 21-year-old man who was found dead at the actress’s Beverly Hills home in July 2015 after drowning in her pool.

As Gossip Cop reported, neither Moore nor her three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah were home at the time of the incident. The deceased man, identified as Edenilson Steven Valle, accidentally slipped and fell into the family’s pool during a party thrown by Moore’s assistant while the actress was out of town. The other partygoers weren’t present when the accident occurred, but they later discovered him lying facedown in the water.

According to TMZ, the parents of the dead man found in Moore’s pool are now suing the actress for factors they believe led to his death. Complaints in the court documents include claims that there were no depth markers or safety signs around the 10-foot-deep pool. The plaintiffs also say rocks around the edge of the water caused their son to trip, while the 101-degree temperature of the pool may have harmed his brain function. Alcohol may have also played a role, according to the parents’ lawsuit.

As Gossip Cop has also reported, Moore released a statement regarding Valle’s death shortly after the tragedy occurred. She stated her “absolute shock” over the situation, adding, “The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy, and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends.”
