Is Demi Moore pushing her three daughters to get pregnant because she wants to be a grandma? That's the bogus claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we've learned it's nonsense.
According to OK!, however, the 55-year-old actress is desperate to be a mom again, but knows it's not an option due to her age. Instead, she's supposedly pressuring daughters Rumer, 30, Scout, 27 and Tallulah Willis, 24, to provide her with grandchildren. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Demi has toyed with the idea of adoption, but it seems more logical for her own grown kids to get pregnant."
The supposed source goes on to say that Moore has "been suffering from empty-nest syndrome and would love a grandchild to dote on and spoil," adding, "Demi loves being around kids and has already told her girls she's happy to help out anytime." The questionable tipster adds, "She tried to satisfy her maternal instincts by adopting a rescue dog, but that's not filling the emotional void."
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a source close to Moore, who tells us on the condition of anonymity that the tabloid's article is simply "not true." The actress isn't trying to convince her daughters to get pregnant. It's also worth noting, none of the girls are married and it's unclear if any of them are in a serious relationship at the moment. Regardless, the idea that Moore wants a baby so bad she's practically forcing her daughters to have one is ridiculous.
Additionally, it bears mentioning this wouldn't be the first time Gossip Cop has caught OK! making up a story involving the actress and her kids. Last year, we busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Moore would be directing oldest daughter Rumer in a remake of her 1996 comedy Striptease. The magazine claimed Rumer was eager to shed her clothes on screen and trusted her mom to be behind the camera for it. We debunked the report as soon as it emerged, and as time has shown, there was never a Striptease remake in development.
When the tabloids aren't busy making up stories about the actress and her daughters, they tend to target her love live. Gossip Cop recently corrected OK!'s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for wrongly maintaining Moore was dating Ed Helms after meeting on the set of their movie Corporate Animals. There was no truth to the romance rumors and this latest premise about Moore pushing her daughter to get pregnant is no more accurate.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
