Demi Lovato performed “Sorry Not Sorry” at the 2017 VMAs on Sunday. Watch the video below!

“Sorry Not Sorry” was released last month as the lead single from Lovato’s upcoming album. Among the co-writers is Sean Douglas, whose dad is Oscar nominee Michael Keaton. The kiss-off track, in which Lovato brags about rebounding on her own from a downswing, has peaked at number 21 on Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 list and hit 23 on the Hot 100, while going all the way to the 14th spot on the UK Singles chart.

The music video for the infectious song was shot at a house party, and features cameos from Jamie Foxx, Wiz Khalifa and even Paris Hilton. To support the release, the pop star did a house party tour of sorts, traveling to different cities for bashes. And though it was pouring, Lovato brought the fun to “GMA” earlier this month for a special concert in Central Park.

The hype around “Sorry Not Sorry” helped it score a MTV Video Music Awards nomination for Song Of Summer, two years after “Cool For The Summer” was nominated. Prior to that, Lovato earned nods for Best Lyric Video (“Really Don’t Care”) and Best Female Video (“Heart Attack”), and in 2012 won Best Video With A Message for “Skyscraper.” With a new album full of songs still to hit the airwaves, Lovato has a good chance of earning VMAs nominations again next year.

That new record, Tell Me You Love Me, is slated to be released on September 29. Lovato dropped the title track as a promotional single just days ago, along with revealing the album’s cover art. It was also only announced last week that Lovato would perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. She wasn’t included as part of the original lineup, so it was most definitely welcome news for Lovatics.
