The Voice Results April 21 2015

“The Voice” said goodbye to two more contestants on Tuesday, with the live results show not only revealing the Top 8, but also featuring another Instant Save. Get all the details here!

As Gossip Cop reported, the Top 10 performed on Monday, with such strong performances that the coaches gave multiple standing ovations, including ones for Kimberly Nichole, who was the first to take the stage, and Koryn Hawthorne, who is in the midst of a major comeback. Alas, only six of the contestants could automatically advance to the next round based on the viewers’ votes. The bottom three, who received the least amount of votes, were eligible to compete for the save.

They were Rob Taylor (Team Christina Aguilera), Joshua Davis (Team Adam Levine), and, for the second week in a row, Deanna Johnson (Team Adam). That meant Levine was guaranteed to lose at least one contestant, or possibly even lose both and be left with none on his team. Each singer got the chance to perform for redemption before the Twitter voting period opened up to determine which one would survive another week, and which two would get the boot. In the end, Davis WON! And a crying Taylor and Johnson were eliminated.

Here are the new team standings for the Top 8: Blake Shelton is the only one that still has all three of his conestants, Corey Kent White, Meghan Linsey, and Hannah Kirby. Pharrell still has both Hawthorne and Fredericks. Aguilera, whose team previously seemed like the one to beat, is now down to just Carney and Nichole. And now Levine only has Davis with several weeks of competition left.

Next week will be extra-special, with former coaches Cee Lo Green, Gwen Stefani, and Usher returning to mentor the remaining artists. TELL US: What do you think of tonight’s results? Is Levine’s chance of winning this season all but gone?
