Davon Fleming Voice Knockouts

Davon Fleming should imagine staying on “The Voice” for a long time to come after winning his Knockout with “I Can Only Imagine.” Watch the video below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, Fleming turned all four chairs with his Blind Audition performance of “Me And Mr. Jones.” He ended up picking Jennifer Hudson to be his coach. For the Battles, Fleming defeated Maharasyi in their duet performance of Whitney Houston’s “I’m Your Baby Tonight.” Now for the Knockouts, Fleming had to sing solo, but still compete against another member of Team J-Hud. Hudson had him facing off with Eric Lyn.

For his turn on the stage, Fleming went with the MercyMe version of “I Can Only Imagine,” while Lyn was singing Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” for his time in the spotlight. During rehearsals with key advisor Kelly Clarkson, he was encouraged to add “warmth” and not forget to “carry the message” of the iconic song. Meanwhile, Fleming was also told to focus on the message of his gospel song. “This is your testimony,” Clarkson told him. Hudson also said, “You’re so skilled as a singer. I don’t ever want to hear you push.”

The truth is, both soulful singers are incredibly skilled. But it was Fleming who received a standing ovation from Hudson. Miley Cyrus told him, “I think you did what you needed to do in this Knockout round.” Adam Levine also said, “You’re ridiculous. Makes me feel bad about myself, actually.” And Blake Shelton commented, “I felt like I was at church… You transformed the room.” Though Hudson said she didn’t “want” to make her decision, she ultimately said Fleming was the winner. Levine told her afterward, “You made the right choice.” Check out the videos of the performances below!
