David Ross appeared on Wednesday’s “Good Morning America,” where he spoke about being a semi-finalist on this season of “Dancing With The Stars.” Watch the video below!

The sportsman spoke to the “GMA” panel during a live segment on the morning show about reaching the “Dancing With The Stars” semi-finals, along with Normani Kordei, Rashad Jennings and Simone Biles. “I went in with the expectation to do something different, and be outside my box, and have some fun,” Ross said of the dancing competition. “It’s a lot of work. Five, six hours a day of training, but it’s a blast. The rewarding feeling you get after you’re done with the dance is so much fun.”

George Stephanopoulos then asked the semi-finalist if anyone had tried to talk him out of participating in the show. “I tried to talk myself out of it. I didn’t want to embarrass myself in front of all those people,” he joked. “But I’m having the time of my life, it’s such a good experience. My family is loving it, my wife is loving it, I’m planning on dancing for the rest of my life.”

The former baseball player, who retired from the sport after winning the World Series in 2016, went on to talk about how much weight he’s lost through gruelling dance rehearsals. “I thought I was in good shape as an athlete, but I’ve done this and lost about 11, 12 pounds. My partner puts me through it. She’s great,” Ross noted. Watch the full “GMA” interview below, in which Ross also talks about his new memoir, Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages. NOTE: The video is no longer available.
