David and Victoria Beckham are not "living apart," despite a fabricated report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story, which falsely claims the former soccer star is "ditching his family" to move to Miami. We're told it's "nonsense."
As it's been widely reported, David was officially given approval in January to start a Major League Soccer franchise in Miami, Florida. The new club, which is yet to be named, is expected to start playing in 2020. But according to the Australian tabloid NW, David is "packing his bags and moving to Miami... without his family!"
Gossip Cop recently called out The Sun for wrongly reporting that Victoria was "furious" over David launching a Miami soccer team. Even though the newspaper's article was completely off-base, the Australian magazine ignored our fact-check and instead decided to spread more fake news about the couple. Without even bothering to investigate the claims, the often debunked NW simply recycled the British tabloid's quotes, writing, "Victoria's seething, devastated and furious" over David's "selfish decision" to "ditch the family."
What's more, the magazine from Down Under quotes another seemingly unreliable source as saying, "Vic doesn't like the idea of women throwing themselves at David and pictures ending up in the media. She would prefer them both to be living in London together." "The last thing Posh needs right now is more drama on her plate," adds the publication.
Not surprisingly, the Aussie tabloid doesn't mention what other "drama" is currently brewing. Regardless, as we noted in our previous bust, the Beckham family is not being torn apart by David's move to Miami, nor is the couple "living apart." In fact, Victoria and her kids recently congratulated David on his achievement in an Instagram video. Alongside the clip, the former Spice Girl also wrote, "Amazing @davidbeckham! We can't wait to spend more time in Miami!"
And if that weren't enough to disprove the untrue account of family strife, in a separate Instagram post, Victoria gushed, "Congratulations @davidbeckham... I'm SO proud!! #dreambig #FutbolMiamiMLS." It's clear, David's longtime partner is actually very excited for the next chapter in his thriving career.
Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for the Beckhams, who exclusively tells Gossip Cop the tabloid's story is complete "nonsense." At times, like many other hard-working couples, professional commitments can keep David and Victoria apart, but it's certainly not jeopardizing their marriage and family life. We're assured they're both 100 percent committed to each other.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
